Don’t miss out on the Dreamtime Gorge Walk when you visit the Mossman Gorge in Tropical North Queensland! This must do activity takes visitors on a journey through the rainforest to gain access to sacred Indigenous land. Here the stories and legends of the local Kuku Yalanji culture on this guided 90 minute walk led by Indigenous elders.

The walk begins with a traditional smoking ceremony following by an easy walk through the rainforest past rainforest streams to sacred ceremonial sites. See how soap and ochre paint are made and enjoy a bush tea and damper. You will also learn about various plants and bush tucker throughout the tour. This small group walking tour gives visitors an insight into the Indigenous culture and a guided walk of the Mossman Gorge. Walks are held at scheduled times throughout the day.

  • Complimentary shuttle bus is available from the Mossman Gorge Centre and will take you to the heart of the Gorge. Departs every 15 minutes, between 8am and 5.30pm daily
